Reader's Delight
Links in the Magellan's Log Anchor Chain

One of the McLuhanesque ironies of
the internet is how intensely verbal and print-oriented it is. A strange turnabout from
the pre-computer (1950s-1970s) non-reading TV generation. Surfers, nerds, geeks, casual
users--we're a generation of monitor readers. Here's what occupies us at Magellan's
Log between sips of Diet Dr Pepper, recitations of the Hsin Hsin Ming, drags on a Carlton 120,
bouts of hatha yoga, and an occasional hit of Javascript.
