23. Latterly Thoughts of Lao-Tzu

Above a simpler jungle
the Old Man sat smug
ly invisible in his moun
tain pass hut and mut
tered of the ten thou
sand things, impress
ing by-passing yo
kels with his er
udition. This
was well before
parsecs, gigabytes
and the ten mill
ion Toyotas. One
wants very much to tweak
his wrinkled nose,
to box his long-lobed ears,
to run a cable TV cable way
up to his sublime highness
and see how his divine
wei-wu-wei-ness copes
with a daily dose of sev
eral nanobillions of M
TV pixels and surround
sound decibels.
Those who know cannot hear
and those who hear cannot speak
and those who speak cannot know
and those who know cannot hear...
Eh?
