11. Beasts of Burden
Camels, llamas know. Exot
ic beasts, common wisdom though.
Mules, you dummy, and jack
asses all know there's
a time to stop and stand,
when health says, "That
last pebble's the end.
One more's too much. I'll
wait till sundown or
however long it takes
for you to reduce my load
by one whatever." The cul
ture teaches us that if
we dumbly endure we will
somehow prevail, which
is why mostly the living
dead achieve the sum
mits of temporal power.
Stubbornness is the bet
ter part of creat
ive making do. Hee-haw.
