    Now the night is over,
    Day is drawing nigh.
    Shadows of the breaking dawn
    Fly across the sky.

    2.
    Now the sunrise brightens,
    Stars begin to fade.
    Birds and beasts and flowers
    Wake to bright new day.

    3.
    Light streams all around us,
    Glory of the earth.
    Gone, old Adam’s anger
    On this day of birth.

    4.
    Easy to remember
    when we do forget:
    Open up your eyes and
    Lose old pain’s regret.
