So entrenched is Picasso in
the highest levels of world art now that nothing we can say here could convince those
critics, collectors, and museums who have such a large vested interest in his reputation
that he might be vastly overrated.
All we can do is suggest: Come back in a hundred years and then see how his stuff--along
with many of his like-brushed fellows--has been relegated to the salon-painting dustbin of
history. Anybody wanna bet?
