6. The Moebius Strip Blues
Words & Music © 1997 by C.K. Latham

1. We heard ol Hal
sing "Daisy," when Dave unplugged his mind,
and then watched Dave freak out, ending up in a bit of a bind.
2. And we heard McLuhan say,
"The medium has the scope."
He played to the far-out trippers like some psychedelic Bob Hope.
3. And we heard ol Timothy
preach that even waters a high,
but to climb a prison fence, he said you gotta scream, "Die, pig, die!"
Chorus:
I dont know where it is were goin and God knows if I ever will,
but what a way this is to get there. I got those star-gate, global-village,
water-brother Moebius strip blues.
4. Well, I read ol
Abbies prose, and I even stole that book.
But Im afraid he didnt improved much on "Run, Spot! Look, Dick,
look!"
5. I even built a dome after
hearing ol Bucky preach,
but I found out much too late that his grasp exceeded my reach.
6. I subscribed to Rolling Stone.
At first it was really fine,
but the richer that Jan Wenner got, the more it read like Time.
Chorus:
I dont know where it is were goin and God knows if I ever will,
but what a way this is to get there. I got those mother-fucker, geodesic,
lets-sell-out Moebius strip blues.
7. I read ol C.G. Jung in my
search for useful tools.
And I think I understand now just who was the archetypal fool.
8. I studied ol R.D. Laing,
who said, "Go ahead, flip out."
Well, I did... and Id say the trip back is much worse than the trip out.
9. Theres lots and lots of
dimensions and energies galore.
But which ways up or down, I just cant say anymore.
Chorus:
I dont know where it is were goin and God knows if I ever will,
but what a way this is to get there. I got those archetypal, rubber-room,
astral-plane Moebius strip blues.
I got those in-and-out, round-about,
which ways out Moebius strip blues.
