An ESL Fairy Tale

1. Once upon a time, there was an ESL student who was very unhappy.
2. She was very smart but a little lazy.
3. She had taken TOEFL many times, but her score was never high enough.
4. Her boy friend told her to take more vitamins.
5. She took more vitamins, and she still made a low score.
6. Her mother told her to get more exercise.
7. She got more exercise, and still made a low score.
8. Her doctor prescribed tranquillizers.
9. She took tranquillizers and still made a low score.
10. . Her ESL teacher told her that she should read more books.
11. . One day, she bought a romance novel and started to read it.
12. . She liked the story a lot.
13. . It was about a hero saving a young woman from danger.
14. . She finished it and bought another.
15. . And another.
16. . And another.
17. . Two months later, she passed TOEFL and lived happily ever after.
