Jack is a real estate salesman. He is trying to sell a piece of land on Main Street. He puts an ad in the newspaper. In the ad, he includes the above map showing the location of the property. In the ad he also gives the dimensions of the piece of land. The ad says, "The Main Street side is 780 feet, the Smith Street side is 450 feet, the Jones Street side is 330 feet." Nobody responds to the ad, except the police, who come and arrest Jack. Why? Jack is selling a piece of land that has NO area. The map is not accurate. Jack is selling a piece of land in the shape of a triangle. One side is 780 feet long. The other two sides (450 +330) add up to 780, which means Jack's piece of land is actually just a straight line.
