Chester Rosson, noted polymath, can often be found of an evening walking the steep
shores of limestone-bedded lakes in the Hill Country west of Austin. He's looking, among
other things, for what the Chinese call "scholar's stones," or "viewing
stones."Some time ago, Magellan's Log did a small feature on classic
scholar's stones, which turned out to be quite popular. Mr. Rosson recently appeared
in our office and bestowed part of his contemporary collection on us.
Impressed, we photographed, chose appropriate music, and now, here they are, Rosson's
