
"Travel!" the editor yelled. "We need
more travel features!"
Four over-worked staff members tore themselves away
from their creative endeavors and staggered to the editor's desk.
"Two questions," said one. "Where do you
want us to go, and how much is the budget?"
"Two answers," said the editor.
"Anywhere interesting,. $25."
Grumbling ensued.
"Plus mileage," added the editor.
"How about Santa Fe?" said another harried
staffer.
"Sounds good," said the editor. "As long
as you can do it six hours."
Thus it was that four of Magellan's Log's most intrepid
writers soon found themselves in the rusty but trusty 15-year-old Mazda of one of said
staff members for a trek to Santa Fe. Among supplies ranging from the legal-but- boring to
the illegal-but-entertaining was a small but worthy camera.
Five hours and forty-five minutes later, the weary
troops returned to the Magellan's Log offices. Their photographic report follows:
