Somebody in China (maybe Sengtsan, maybe not), at some time
(maybe around 600 CE, maybe
not) wrote down some ideas about reality and all that in 586 characters (146
four-character lines).
The short work is known as the Hsin Hsin Ming,
a less-than-catchy title which translates (very roughly) as "Verses on the
Faith-Mind."
Many people have had a go at getting the Hsin
Hsin Ming into English. By far the most successful is the translation by Richard
B. Clarke. Which you can read (and read about) here and here.
As an aid to interested explorers, we've created a
handy little one-page file that looks like this:

It's actually three complete copies of the Hsin Hsin Ming.
The idea is you cut the page twice and, voila! you have three Hsin Hsin Ming
bookmarks.
Right-click on a link below to save the file in either Acrobat-pdf or
Word-doc format.
